From the moment I met Brittany and Jimmy, I knew their wedding was going to be one of my favorites of the season. These two radiate positivity, warmth, and FUN - and when they shared their plans, I think we were alllll giddy with excitement. A small, intimate cabin wedding on a lake in Wisconsin, with only 20 guests? This is the stuff dreams are made of.
After an eventful three-hour drive to Winter, WI (fallen bridge, almost car accident, oh and Biden was finally called as the official winner of the election), I pulled up to most the most stunning property and A-frame cabin in the woods. I honestly think my jaw dropped. I was cheerfully greeted, offered a snack and a drink, and welcomed excitedly into the day. What followed was probably my favorite ceremony I've ever witnessed. They borrowed traditions and invented their own - making sure to make each guest at their wedding an integral part of the day - creating a ceremony that was uniquely theirs and perfectly fitting for their relationship.
After their ceremony, we snagged some family portraits (with the first round of champagne of the day), and headed off into the woods to take some golden hour portraits of the newlyweds. Brittany and Jimmy set up a little table to make custom old-fashioned's - their signature drink - and drank them while we enjoyed the sunset by the water. Afterwards, we joined their guests for custom cocktails, a delicious dinner and the funniest speeches I've ever heard - and wrapped up the evening with another round of champagne and lots and lots of extra long sparklers for a dazzling sparkler exit.
This day was full to the brim with love, warmth, jokes, and laughter - the perfect way to celebrate the start of this next chapter. Cheers to making your wedding exactly what you want it to be ✨
